Raven Industries Announces New Slingshot API Implementation With ZedX, Inc.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., April 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Raven Industries (Nasdaq:RAVN) has announced a new Slingshot API implementation with ZedX, Inc., a leader in agricultural information technology solutions. With this implementation, the user’s Slingshot data is now transmitted wirelessly from the field and is fully integrated into the ZedX AgFleet® software. Data can move seamlessly between machine and office, as applied files are simply downloaded and historical files, previously sent wirelessly, can be easily retrieved.

“We are proud to start the 2013 growing season with Slingshot. The powerful engine that is AgFleet is complemented with the sophistication of Raven’s wireless technology. Our customers will have a competitive advantage with this partnership,” said Brian Antonucci, chief operating officer at ZedX, Inc. “With the accuracy of AgFleet’s product suite paired with Raven’s Slingshot, your farm will have the most accurate applied acres in the business.”

According to Paul Welbig, director of Slingshot operations for Raven Industries, “This new partnership utilizing the Slingshot API is a great example of how barriers are breaking down in the agricultural industry in order for growers and ag retailers to share data in an easy and positive manner. Ag retailers will realize greater efficiencies in their data management processes, gain the ability to create and transfer controller files, and utilize remote file transfer and support.”
